TRIP
LOGICS CHANGES NAME TO WORLD TRAVEL SERVICE, INC.

On September 4,
2007 Trip Logics will officially change our company name to
World Travel Service, Inc. Trip Logics merged with World
Travel Service of Knoxville, TN earlier this year.
According to Business Travel News, we are currently the 20th
largest travel management company in the US based on client
spend.
It's business as
usual for our corporate clients in the Carolinas with the same
committed team of corporate agents handling your reservations.
Cary Travel /
Trip Logics is a brand that has built up considerable equity
in the Triangle for many years and we felt that the World
Travel Service name better reflects what we now offer in terms
of our enhanced portfolio of business travel services and
technologies. We believe that this new name will better
describe who we are.
We are currently
redesigning our website and plan to unveil it in
October. Thanks for your continued business. Every
one of your reservations is greatly appreciated. Please
don't hesitate to call us with any questions.

CARY-BASED
TRIP LOGICS MERGES WITH TENNESSEE COMPANY
TO
CREATE ONE OF THE TOP
U.S.
TRAVEL FIRMS
Trip
Logics (formerly Cary Travel) is becoming part of one of the
nation’s leading travel management companies after a recent
purchase by World Travel Service, Inc.
World
Travel, based in
Knoxville
,
Tenn.
, is already the 24th largest travel management company in the
U.S.
according to Business Travel News. The firm has 92 employees
in
Tennessee
,
Georgia
, and
Alabama
. Prior to this acquisition, the company had annual sales of
over $85 million in 2006.
This
purchase will add 54
employees from Trip Logics to World Travel. Trip Logics has
operations in
North Carolina
and
Georgia
, with sales of $38
million last year. The
combined operations will have 146 employees and over $120
million in sales. The deal is effective as of Jan. 2,
2007.
Kit
McConnell, owner of Trip Logics, stated that by combining the
company's resources, the organization could continue to
provide products and services that are ahead of the
competition. She commented, “This
opportunity will take our company to the next level while
retaining our employees. At the same time it will
allow me to spend more time with my family and become more
actively involved in our family charitable foundation.”
Trip
Logics was recently named one of the fastest growing companies
in the Triangle area.
The
total sales figures of the newly combined agencies should
place World Travel among the top 20 nationwide according to
Lamar Shuler
, president of World Travel.
“Both
companies operate with a strong customer service philosophy
and make for a very good fit,” said Shuler. “This is a
logical step for our operations.”
The
newly consolidated offices will specialize in corporate,
group, vacation, and online travel services with customers
across the nation.
“Both
companies have been highly successful, with strong growth over
the last few years,” said Todd Snyder, World Travel vice
president. “We are looking forward to new sales
opportunities in the technology and pharmaceutical markets
available in the
Raleigh
area.”
World
Travel has purchased several smaller agencies in recent years,
but this is the largest acquisition to date.
Shuler
said consolidation among travel management has been a
continuing trend over the past few years, allowing travel
agencies to lower costs by pooling resources. “In our
industry, we have to continually grow to be successful,” he
said.
